Introducing the Building Excellent Schools Summer Leaders Internship

Overview

Building Excellent Schools is excited to announce that applications are available for its Inaugural Summer Leaders Internship (SLI). The Building Excellent Schools SLI seeks outstanding graduate students who wish to develop leadership capacity and enter into the pathway for school leadership within the BES Fellowship. Over a summer, BES Summer Interns work with excellent schools rooted in the study of the nation’s strongest urban charter schools and receive significant practice-based training from the expert staff at Building Excellent Schools. The Summer Interns will take part in an 5-week intensive that combines purposeful study of what it takes to lead a no excuses charter school with a residency within an excellent school. At the conclusion of the summer, Summer Interns receive offers to enter into the flagship, full-year BES Fellowship which will begin at the conclusion of their graduate study, in August of the following year.

Timeline

The BES Summer Leaders Internship runs between May 29th, 2012 and June 30th, 2012.
